This book is about a little girl and her beautiful hair. Her hair was big, so big it covered her tiny face. It was beautiful, curly, soft and wild. Ebony doesn’t understand why her mother calls her hair her crown. Ebony compares her hair to the others around her, she doesn’t understand why her mother keeps saying, “Your hair is your crown.” She learns in the end that what her mother is trying to teacher her is that her hair is to be worn proudly, high, and with confidence. Ebony’s hair is special and in the end she knows it too. We give this book 5 stars.
