By Sue Grayson
This is a book about a dog named Seth and four other dogs. There is also a Nana that takes care of the dogs. This book has 3 stories in one, but they all focus on
the same characters.
Whistle
The Nana is in a dream, but hears a noise that makes her worry and she thinks it’s a monster. When she wakes a little worried, she realizes that it’s just her dog Seth’s whistling through his nose. She laughs at her silly fear and sings with joy as she realizes ,,,
“It’s just a whistle in his nose.”
Lines
The Nana is throwing a ball for Seth to catch and it rolls into the sunlight and into the shade. They play together and Nana enjoys watching Seth run, play, and be free.
“You jump the line between shade and sun.”
Twenty Paw
And Two Hands
This is written like a poem about the Nana owning 5 dogs. It talks about how the Nana only has 2 ears to hear, but the dogs have 10. And the Nana only has 2 legs, but the dogs have 20.
“I have two hands, to scratch, rub, and reward five dog.”
I give this book 4 stars
